Now that you finally have a custom canopy tent with you, it’s time to learn about how to maintain it. For the extensive care for a custom canopy, we wanted to share the detailed steps to clean and maintain each tent part. The article comes in two parts; the first one explains the methods to be used to clean one of the most vital parts of the tent, the fabric.

Without further ado, let’s start with how to clean the fabric part of your 10x10 custom tent.

Fabric Care

1. Washing The Fabric

In order to clean the custom 10x10 tent’s fabric, prepare two things: soap and warm water. Combine them both and create some solution. If bath soap isn’t around, look for another alternative. Detergents for dishes or clothes can also be used for this purpose.

Now, if the solution is finally made and ready, clean the fabric thoroughly in one sweeping motion. The detergent or soap will remove the remaining deposits, continue the step if the stains still persist.

After being cleaned with the solution, prepare a garden hose with a spray nozzle set to a flat setting. Now spray from top to bottom in vertical motions until all debris and remaining dirt are gone.

Remember, don’t ever use bleach for customized tents since it can discolor the fabric.

2. Drying

Let’s proceed with the drying method for the custom tent’s fabric. After the washing process is done, stretch the fabric wide on a flat line. Use clothesline, sawhorses, or anything that can be used to hang the fabric.

3. Folding

To retain the natural shape of the tent, fold it following the existing creases. Never just put and bunch up the canopy tent or forcing it into the bags. Sharp or any random fold will result in the reduced lift expectancy of the fabric.

4. Repairing

Accidents may happen eventually, and what you can do about the tears and holes is repairing them. Quickly fix them using a seam sealer or patch kit before it worsens as soon as you notice them.

Frame Care

1. Cleaning the frame

Other than the fabric, you can also clean the frame part of the 10x10 canopy tent. Never clean the frame when it’s completely folded. Set it up first with all the legs and parts fully extended, and continue cleaning it with the solution we’ve created before. Each owner will sometimes give a recommendation of how to clean each part of the ten, best to contact them to gain additional information.

2. Keep the frame like new

Now while cleaning the frame, you may as well check if there are any loose screws that night to be fastened again. Check the corresponding parts and fasten them as soon as you notice.

3. Additional Options
